It was a tragic display today after the tranquil protest this morning, the management have taken the situation to a critical position by declaring so as to settle on the wrong choice that students ought to vacate their hostels..
Students in return have made a strong and united decision not to leave the school premises.
'We came out for a peaceful protest,so far so good,no properties have been destroyed nor any violence around campus,why should we be asked to vacate the campus in two weeks when we are lacking behind in our academic session. PRESS RELEASE
The management of the university of Calabar has announced a "Two-week mid-semester break" for all students of the university with effect from today 12th of October,2015.
Students are expected to vacate Hostels on or before 6:00pm to enable management address the issues raised by students.
Normal academic activities would resume on friday,30th of October 2015.
NOTE: No student should be found on Campus, especially within the Hostels after 6:00pm today.
