YALI West Africa region is presently accepting applications from qualified candidates.The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was propelled by President of the United States Barack Obama as a mark push to put resources into the up and coming era of African leaders.
Concentrating on the 5 week coursework stage, it will involve three center courses (Leadership and Accountability, Ethics, and Contemporary issues influencing Africa) and one elective course selected from an example of three courses covering three subjects, namely Entrepreneurship, Public Policy and Management, and Civil Society Management.
Eligibility
The YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa is searching for young fellows and ladies between the ages of 18 and 35 from Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Liberia, and Sierra Leone who are ready to embrace leadership and work hard to transform their countries.
Applicants should:
- Have no criminal record
- know how to read and write in English
- Have a valid international passport to travel

- Toward the end of the program participants will be honored with certificates and become a members of the YALI Alumni
- Participants will be taken through different types of Leadership training-type modules which will set them up for leadership roles in their different tries.
- Participants will obtain current ideas, approaches and practices to effectively manage people.
